This book has an extensive up-to-date coverage of fundamentals of Microwave Circuits and Passive Devices for graduate and postgraduate students in Engineering, Physics and Research workers. It contains comprehensive up-to-date text for a standard course. The first chapter presents the preview to the field of Microwave Electronics and Applications. The second chapter deals with both, the conventional transmission line theory using distributed parameters, and strip and microstrip lines with basic principles. A chapter on basic electromagnetics is included for understanding the field analysis. Chapter four and five respectively deal with waveguide theory and microwave resonators. The planer counter parts strip line and microstrip line resonators have been included with a reference to optical resonators. Chapter six deals with basic Microwave Circuit Theory including scattering matrix approach. The components like Tees directional couplers, phase shifters etc., are analysed in details with their applications. The planer counter parts are also included. Chapter seven covers ferrite devices both tube and microstrip type. The last chapter deals with slow wave structures and filters both conventional and microstrip filters.
